Taylor’s Bio
I've had the privilege of growing up in the world of financial planning. As a child, I would tag along with my father, a financial advisor, and I can remember sitting in on my first client meeting when I was just a little taller than the table.
This industry has always held a special place in my heart. It's not just a job to me; it's a profession I deeply care about, shaped by a lifelong admiration. In fact, before becoming an advisor in 2016, I believed it was the second noblest profession, right after doctors.
However, I soon discovered that the rest of the world doesn't always share this sentiment. That bothered me, and it sparked the creation of Ataroke—a firm dedicated to putting the advice back into Advisor.
I’m grateful for the experiences that led to this point. I learned what an advisor has to say about money during countless conversations at the dinner table as a child. I learned what the textbooks had to say about money in college, earning undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance and a graduate degree in Accounting. I then learned what businesses had to say about money as an auditor at PwC, where I also learned how to think critically and skeptically. Finally, I learned the difference between what the textbooks and businesses say about money and what real people care about money as an Investment Advisor at Macro Wealth Advisors.
Throughout this journey, I also realized that life is unpredictable. It has its ups and downs, its share of tragedies and triumphs. But that's what makes it exciting. The ability to adapt to change is essential for both personal growth and financial planning.
I consider myself fortunate to have found my professional purpose—helping people improve their relationship with money and make better financial decisions. Ataroke is my way of pursuing that purpose. I approach it just like I do my personal life—a continuous cycle of action, learning from failures, reflecting, and striving for improvement. Progress, not perfection, is my guiding principle.

Taylor’s Book
Life isn’t certain.
Your financial decisions shouldn’t pretend it is.
Planning for retirement is hard. You must swim in a sea of misinformation where for every article saying one thing, you can find ten more saying the other. You must navigate an industry of self-serving “advisors” whose job is to convince as much as it is to actually advise. You must also battle your instincts which can tell you to panic when staying calm is often best. What can you do?
Embracing an Uncertain Retirement is a good place to start. Shockingly honest, this book promises to be unlike any you’ve ever read on retirement. Combining research in economics, finance, and behavioral psychology, Taylor Stewart will show you how to think about the key retirement planning decisions you must make.
You’ll learn:
Why confidence and a desire for certainty is holding you back
What the true goal of retirement planning is and how to achieve it
The key assumptions and variables in every retirement plan
How and when to use investments and insurance
Why we make decisions the way we do and how to make better ones
If you’re looking for a book with shortcuts to a successful retirement, keep looking. If you’re looking for a pragmatic and honest discussion of retirement planning, look no further.
